WiTonCampus serves high school students exploring their post‑graduation options, college students across all years, and early postgraduates—ranging from those still clarifying their major or career direction to those highly motivated and actively pursuing IT and technology related pathways. These students bring varied levels of exposure, confidence, and experience, yet many share common barriers including limited access to professionals and employers, uncertainty about next steps, and practical challenges such as time, transportation, financial resources, and navigating early career expectations.
To address these challenges, WiTonCampus will focus on the following programs: Mentorship Program, Campus Connect Pop Ups, and exclusive Job Shadow Days at our sponsor locations.
These programs collectively reduce barriers, increase access, and guide students from awareness to connection to career readiness. By meeting students where they are, providing structured exposure to Wisconsin employers, empowering peer leadership, and delivering intentional mentorship, WiTonCampus strengthens early career confidence, expands professional networks, and builds a sustainable pipeline of women prepared to enter, persist, and thrive in technology ‑related careers while advancing the organization’s mission.
Mentorship ProgramThe Women in Technology (WiT) Mentorship Program is an 8-week structured experience designed to connect female students with professionals in technology across Wisconsin. Starts in October and concludes at the regional holiday party in December. This program blends guided mentorship conversations with real-world networking opportunities, helping students build confidence, explore career paths, and expand their professional network. Job Shadow Days are employer-hosted, half- or full-day experiences that bundle mulitple exposure opportunities into one structured visit. These are not job placement events, but intentional career exploration experiences. Who It's For
