We see the importance to give girls the opportunity to learn about technology careers, connect with local role models and participate in a hands on technology workshop.
Microsoft in partnership with Women In Technology Wisconsin is excited to have 12 companies, schools and organizations host DigiGirlz events in March/April 2019 in collaboration with local schools and nonprofits.
This event is open to anyone that would like to learn how easy it is to bring computer science to young girls. No coding or technical experience required. We will be running a short version of a DigiGirlz event. Join us to hear from local professionals (Diane Doersch, Green Bay Area Public Schools; Elaine Stevens, Breakthrough Fuel; Michelle Schuler, Microsoft) about the importance of role models to encourage girls of all ages and learn how to use Makecode.com and Ada Fruit circuit boards.
NOTE: This is right after the January WIT Wisconsin Breakfast Series. We encourage you to register for the Series and then stay to learn and network.
